About PSIR Optional
Political Science and International Relations examines political ideas, government, society and world affairs. The subject covers political thinkers, the Indian Constitution, Indian politics, comparative politics, international relations and India’s foreign policy. It helps students connect ideas with contemporary developments and examine issues from different perspectives.

Tests & feedback
Each programme includes:
- One sectional test every week.
- Four major section tests: Paper I A, Paper I B, Paper II A and Paper II B.
- Two full-length tests: Paper I and Paper II.
Weekly tests are evaluated personally by the faculty. Evaluated copies are returned within five days.
Personal mentorship
Individual mentorship follows each weekly test. Sessions focus on strengths, recurring mistakes and the next steps for improvement.
Students can ask doubts through WhatsApp and during mentorship. Attendance, submissions, test participation and progress are tracked regularly.

Nasheer brings 15 years of teaching experience, beginning in June 2011 with Engineering Mechanics and GATE coaching, and moving into UPSC coaching in 2016. He holds an M.Tech in Structural Engineering from NIT Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh, and an M.A. in Political Science.
His teaching builds intuitive understanding through clear explanations, relatable examples and a warm sense of humour. Approachable and encouraging, he also holds students accountable for consistent effort, discipline and respect for the learning community.

Before you begin.
Which programme should I choose?
If you are beginning your preparation, explore UPSC Foundation. Choose Full PSIR for conceptual understanding and syllabus coverage, PSIR Answer Writing for question interpretation and answer practice, GS Answer Writing or Essay for writing practice, Subject-wise Mains for individual subjects, or Prelims Formula 129 Test Series+ for Prelims preparation with study hall access.
Can I learn online?
All programmes use a hybrid format, with online and offline learning options. Both PSIR programmes offer offline, live online and recorded classes in Tamil and English, with a flexible one-year programme duration from joining. Recording access is two weeks. PSIR classes run for 1–2.5 hours a day, five days a week. Discuss schedules for other programmes with your mentor.
Will my answers be evaluated?
Both PSIR programmes include daily answer evaluation by trained evaluators under the mentor’s guidance, with evaluated daily answers returned within 48 hours. Weekly tests are evaluated personally by the faculty and returned within five days, followed by individual mentorship. GS Answer Writing also includes evaluation and feedback. Discuss arrangements for other programmes before enrolling.
When can I join, and what are the fees?
Fees are listed alongside the programmes above. Full PSIR costs ₹18,500; PSIR Answer Writing costs ₹10,000. Joining dates are flexible.
